A deal has also been signed between Wattpad and Toronto-based eOne for the development of original TV, movie, and VR projects based on Wattpad fan fiction. Its Wattpad Studios division has been growing in this area for some time now, following the launch of Wattpad Studios last year.
Wattpad has a sizable enough user base to tap into, even though many of its users are younger – a demographic that may be reluctant to pay for services. Your app will have an “Upgrade to Premium” button.
